I thought it was a friendly place with nice beer garden and delicious food. But my opinion has changed after my friend found a metal peace of cutlery baked inside his fish, what wouldn’t be the biggest issue, if the bartender hadn’t disappeared in the kitchen after our complain and waited there until we left. Not a best way to apologise..

I visited the White Lion on Sunday and ordered some food which came to around £15 and spent a further £20 on a few rounds of drinks. The food arrived and was a little over cooked to say the least… I politely pointed out to the barman that I couldn’t eat the food that had been delivered to our table and he removed the plate of food and didn’t return to our table. Some 20 minutes later I politely approached the lady said to be in charge and raised my problem concerning the food and was told in no uncertain terms “it’s your problem… you ordered it.’ I was astonished at her reply and her refusal to do anything to resolve the situation. I would therefore strongly recommend that you don’t bother ordering food from this establishment.
