Since the end of 2010, it is getting back to being a lively and friendly pub, with lots of free live music gigs 3 times a week, plus an open mic every fortnight. Different bands Fri/Sat. Every Thursday is The Bourbon Street Preachers plus their guests- a residency that has run for 4 years!
The JW Lees beer is fine. Disabled toilet on the ground floor. Smokers can take shelter under the gazebo outside, and look over and admire the bowling green! Food available, and a separate area at the back can be used for dining. Also have an upstairs room (with own bar and toilets) that is used for many private functions.
Really like this bar, saw a great reggae band there, Trevor Roots and the Collaborators earlier this year, looking forward to seeing them again next month having a few beers and enjoying the entertainment
